Mount Tambourine
I have completed my final waitressing shift and have four weeks of adventures ahead of me, before I start working in Adelaide. On day one of this temporary liberty, Jimmy and I headed to Mount Tambourine.
The name is slightly misleading, as it is actually a large plateau area in the Gold Coast Hinterland, with many walking tracks winding through the rainforest.
We started the trip with a delicious lunch at the Vineyard.
This was followed by a visit to the SkyWalk. Once again there were hundreds of eucalyptus trees, and once again there were no koalas…. We did see some lizards, a silk worm and some butterflies though…
We then took a walk through the forest to Curtis falls. This was more like a trickle than a gushing waterfall, but the walk was enjoyable and we heard lots of lyre birds mimicking all sorts of sounds.
