The week Laura graduated from the honours year of her degree in Psychology. I was so proud to be able to go and watch her collect her certificate, along with Carl and her friend Katherine.

It was great to be in a room with so many people who have achieved so much, through their own hard work and determination. On top of all of this, Laura has had health problems to battle, making her achievement is all the more impressive.

The ceremony was lovely (and thanks to everyone’s reminders Laura didn’t trip up on the stage!).

Afterwards we went for some cocktails and tapas. It was a wonderful day.

FYI – A graduand is someone who is eligible to graduate but who has not yet graduated. A graduate is what you become after the ceremony. You learn something every day!
